Trip to Martins Cove

My parents are in charge of the trek for their stake this year so they invited us to come along and expirence the cove without a bunch of kids. It was perfect weather except for the strong winds! The missionaries loved MaKenna (and I think it made them a little homesick for their grandkids too). The youth go the 3-5 of July with a special program at Independence Rock on the 4th. It was neat to set foot on ground that was once traveled by our pioneers and be able to stop and ponder on what took place there.
