Sorry for the long delay in updating. The good new is I found the charger to charge the battery on the camers but the bad news is that I can't find the cord to upload my pictures on the computer. Moving.....what a mess. But, the goal is to find it this week and get things updated!
We've been staying busy! The scouts did a 4th of July breakfest and they fed 1,700 people, way to go boys!!! They had a silent auction with things ranging from free haircuts, pizza's, oil changes to trampolines and excersise bikes. The weather was perfect and fun was had by all. But of course things can't go smoothly when planning a big event like this. The night before the big day the big semi trailer we had to keep the food cold stopped working about 1:00 in the morning so Steve, with the help of the other leaders, Mike Morril and Jim Crook, tried to figure out what was going wrong. After no sucess they finally got tired of it and said a prayer. Minuets later it kicked on and the food was cold again and everything was fine. I think these men, along with Steve, only had a couple hours of sleep that night. But it was worth it, they trippled the amount they made compaired to last year!!!
MaKenna loved the fireworks and we had a perfect view! Garden Courts is just above the stadium where they launch them and it was so nice just to walk up the stairs and sit on the blankets...no driving and fighting the traffic afterwords. We marked off the whole grassy area and all our friends came and joined us!
So...after all this we are pretty tired but it was fun and we are "proud to be an american"!!!
